Abby and Chris got married on a beautiful summer day at the Oaks at Plum Creek Golf Course located in Castle Rock, Colorado. This venue has gorgeous views of Castle Rock’s “rock” and of the golf course. But, their indoor spaces is really where they shine in my opinion, from the huge getting ready suites to the unique cool bar, they have TONS of indoor spaces allowing you to spread out. I loved their colors, they incorporated blush pinks throughout combined with the sage green bridesmaids dress…it was just *chef’s kiss*.

Before seeing Chris, Abby did a first look with her dad. I love my dad so dang much, that first looks with dads always make me tear it. It was such a sweet and special moment for the two of them. (featuring a couple tears)
Abby and Chris not only did a first look, but they shared private vows. Sometimes it is easier to pour your heart out to just the love of your life and not infront of all your guests. This is something I love and encourage all my couples to do. Abby and Chris got to have a really special intimate moment together and share these special vows to each other.
Abby also said she loved getting a huge chunk of photos done before the ceremony because it allowed them to be more present with their friends and family.
Gosh, we got speeches from the maid of honor, best man, mother of the groom, and father of the bride, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. All the happy tears and emotions were flowing from these heartfelt speeches to the couple. Part of mom’s speech was from a letter she wrote to Chris when he was a newborn baby and she was rocking him to sleep. I seriously couldn’t contain my tears and neither could anyone else. It was the most touching and heartfelt thing I’ve seen in a long time.
One thing I love about this venue is the two different reception spaces they have. They have the main reception space where we did Abby and Chris’ dinner, toasts, and cake cutting which was light and airy. After, we moved to their moody bar/dance area which gave a fun party atmosphere to their wedding.
Abby and Chris tore up the dance floor the ENTIRE night with all their guests. It was an absolute party until the very last moment!
