Grace and Simone | Oak Tree Country Club Wedding | Edmond, Oklahoma

Simone and Grace were both student-athletes at Kansas State. They first met on the KSU track, however, it wasn’t until the last semester when former teammates set them up on a Valentine’s Day date at a local sushi restaurant that sparks flew. On the next date, Simone made Grace gluten free pizza and they talked for hours. Soon after they both knew they were each other’s soulmates. These two soulmates got married December 30th at Oak Tree Country Club in Edmond, Oklahoma. The reason they ended up choosing this venue was because of the beautiful gazebo with the pond right behind. They got SO insanely lucky with an almost 60 degree day – the perfect golf course weather. Everyone else thought so too, because the course was bustling with golfers enjoying the day.

I always like to ask my couples some questions to hep them remember the day- here’s what Simone and Grace had to say:

What was your favorite part of your wedding day? The entire day was truly incredible! The best part of the ceremony was looking in your eyes with sun shinning so beautifully on you. Our favorite part of the reception was celebrating on the dance floor with family and friends, especially seeing how much fun everyone was having! It was extra special to be surrounded by family and friends we had not seen in a while.

Did anyone say anything really meaningful to you? A friend said to us, “This day was something so special and incredible to witness between such a beautiful couple. I could feel the love between you both and the love from family and friends. I’m so grateful to be a apart of it and I wish you all the love and happiness.”

Any advice to a future bride getting married at Oak Tree Country Club? Have you ceremony outside at the gazebo!

Anything else you want to share? Looking out at all of our guests during the ceremony, seeing everyone’s smiling faces, and knowing the total distance traveled (from Italy, New Zealand, California, Alabama, Colorado, Chicago, and Minnesota) it brought tears to my eyes and so much joy to our hearts. We are sincerely thankful for all of you who were able to celebrate with us on our wedding day. We would like to give a special shout out to an icon on the dance floor, Grace’s grandpa, Colin Harris! (see dance floor photos of grandpa tearing up the dance floor!!)
