Maddie & Izek met five years ago at a high school party. Get this- Izek was climbing out of the window and Maddie stopped him to tell him the cops were outside. He ended up giving Maddie and her friends a ride home that night. But, that isn’t where their relationship started. They ran into each other and officially met at another party about a year later. They become best friend first, then fell in love. They came to Colorado to elope together. They decided that Colorado was the spot for them because of the incredible views and ability to self solemnize. They were originally going to come just the two of them, but ended up having around 10 of their closet family and friends join. Maddie & Izek made it so much more special than just saying I do, they incorporated a beautiful ceremony that had special moments like ring blessings and the tying of the knot. When I asked Maddie & Izek what their favorite part of the day was, they said when everyone went around and blessed their rings and said sweet things about the couple during the ceremony. Seriously… not a dry eye! It was such an honor to be part of celebrating Maddie & Izek’s special day!
